Job Description

Coordinate between the various departments and stakeholders to provide a detailed 5W and 4M IOP for
all NOC operations
Facilitate optimization of the plan to ensure removal of any conflicts and allow NOC to take advantage
of the different opportunities
Provide Offshore Area Manager (OAM) with all required information and support to make informed
decisions during 5W IOP arbitration of activities
Provide COO with all required information and support to make informed decisions during 4M IOP
arbitration of activities
Maintain regular communication channels with Forecast team to align IOP and RoFo, shortfall contracts
and optimize IOP for production/injection opportunities
Maintain regular communication channels with Export team on IOP and lifting schedules to ensure
contracts are respected
Maintain regular communication channels with OC scheduler to align 2w-look ahead offshore schedule
and 5w IOP activities
Work with Head of IOP to continuously improve the IOP process

ACTIVITIES

IOP Process management – 4M

Overall responsible for developing, reviewing and issuing complete validated 4M IOP.
Facilitate discussions among departments using raw data to initiate de-conflicting process.
Collect Level 3 activities from department planners and consolidate into draft 4M IOP.
Ensure gate criteria for activities included in the plan are met; reject activities which do not meet gate
criteria and revert back to department planners on rejected activities.
Ensure attributes for all activities included in the plan are provided and accurate; revert back to
department planners for any inconsistency.
Identify conflicts and opportunities for optimization on Safety, production, cost and resources. Leverage
department focal points forecast team and HSE department for support in providing accurate POB, HSE
and Production/Injection forecast information.
Share list of conflicts to be discussed during de-conflicting meeting with department planners.
Send draft of 4M IOP to Forecast team 2 days prior to the de-confliction meeting to allow for scenario
building.
Share 4M IOP draft with Export team to validate changes with respect to lifting schedule
Facilitate de-conflicting and optimization of planned activities by liaising with department planners and
leading the 4M de-conflicting meeting.
Trigger pre-arbitration meetings with departments as required.
Prepare scenarios for arbitration and share with COO prior to validation meeting. Provide adequate
support as required to COO on scenario arbitration
Facilitate the 4M validation meeting chaired by the COO, with all relevant departments and parties.
Publish rolling 4m IOP plan on a monthly basis.
Provide feedback to the department planners on the validated 4M IOP plans, to keep the IOP plan and
departmental plans aligned and up to date.

IOP Process management – 5W

Overall responsible for developing, reviewing and issuing complete validated 5W IOP
Collect Level 4 activities from department planners and consolidate into draft 5W IOP
Ensure gate criteria for activities included in the plan are met; reject activities which do not meet gate
criteria and revert back to department planners on rejected activities
Ensure attributes for all activities included in the plan are provided and accurate; revert back to
department planners for any inconsistency.
Review submitted break-ins and check for clashes (POB/SIMOPS/etc.); discuss with OIM to confirm
readiness and feasibility; consolidate break-ins and share with OAM for approval
Identify conflicts and opportunities for optimization on Safety, production, cost and resources, as a result
of approved break-ins. Leverage department focal points, forecast team and HSE department for support
in providing accurate POB, HSE and Production/Injection forecast information.
Prepare dossier with conflicts resulting from break-ins and Share with OAM ahead of 5W validation
meeting. Provide adequate support as required to OAM on activities arbitration.
Facilitate the 5W validation meeting chaired by the OAM, with all relevant departments and parties.
Publish rolling 5W IOP plan on a weekly basis.
Provide feedback to the department planners on the validated 5W IOP plans, to keep the IOP plan and
departmental plans aligned and up to date.
Coordinate with OC Scheduler to extract IOP activities from 5W IOP into 2W-Look-ahead offshore
schedule.

IOP Process Continuous improvement:

Support Head of IOP in development, implementation and revision of the IOP procedure
Gather feedback and identify potential pain points in application of the procedure; share with head of
IOP
Contribute to efforts in revising IOP procedure
Support implementation of procedure changes to the ongoing process

Reporting:

Develop, implement and maintain progress tracking and performance reporting tools related to the 5W
and 4M plan e.g. KPI Dashboards, Daily Report Templates;
Prepare 4M and 5W IOP KPI reports and share with Head of IOP

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Degree qualification in Engineering or Technology Management & Marine Engineer
preferred
Industry Experience: Min 10 years’ experience in a production operations environment (ideally
exposure to offshore environment) Min 7 years planning experience

Demonstrable proficiency with integrated planning environments and processes
Initiative to seek out required information and communicate issues proactively
Ability to relate to and deal with a wide range of nationalities and personalities
Ability to work across departments across multiple disciplines
Good communication skills both in written and verbal
User level in planning packages including MS Project and Primavera P6
